The Music Series at South Church
The Music Series at South Church brings the sounds of great sacred and secular music to the citizens of the region by presenting outstanding soloists and ensembles in New Britain’s South Church. Established in 1973 as The Music Series, it annually offers a variety of programs ranging from solo presentations to major choral-orchestral works, from opera to jazz, using the full potential of South Church’s beautiful architecture, instruments and acoustics.
Past seasons have featured such artists as organist Diane Bish, jazz pianist Marian McPartland, Anonymous 4, The Boston Camerata, The American Boychoir, CONCORA, the King'singers, and Chanticleer (pictured at right).
